So, this is Canyon
Park. Lynn Martin, who makes the lovely Cabin Soap
Co. soaps at the shop, owns this property along with her
hubby Jeff. The property is available for weekly
and weekend rentals. They were gracious enough to
let me stay here for a few days this week. It was
simply wonderful. It's 44 acres
of private park in an ancient woodland canyon.
There's a fully furnished home with 4 bedrooms, a
gigantic fireplace, a patio and a fab jacuzzi tub (great
for after a run!). Outside there is a pond, a
cave, walking trails, picnic areas, campsites, a hammock
for napping (I fell off while asleep, it was
hysterical), a fire pit, a breathtaking area called
"Decision Rock" overlooking the cliffs, and I found an
awesome running/biking path just a mile from the house
that is shaded, flat and seems to go on forever.
Canyon Park is the most amazing natural beauty you will
ever see in Wisconsin! Secluded and peaceful, it
is the best rest that you could ever give your soul!
Seriously, you can and should check it out! Canyon Park is a
magical place and
you can rent it out for whatever event you have going
on: a birthday, family reunion, weekend retreat, or just
to get back to nature! There's
so much to do and experience. Do your senses a
